About the event
Everglades Detention Center Prayer Vigil
Sunday, September 28, 5:00 p.m. (bus leaves at 2:30 p.m.) The bus will leave Sunshine Cathedral at 2:30 and return to Sunshine Cathedral at 8PM (est.) We will join with other churches from Broward County in hosting a prayer vigil at the cruelly named “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Everglades. These vigils have been ongoing since August, and we have stood as Christian witnesses to human rights violations that are happening at the center. There will be a charter bus leaving from Sunshine Cathedral at 2:30 p.m. The cost is $25.
